In
ContactsLaw, the
workgroup manager is the
member who has primary responsibility over a particular
workgroup. The designation of a manager is optional for workgroups.
The workgroup manager has the ability to control
workgroup permissions and implicitly has full access to every aspect of the workgroup they manage. It is possible to nominate other members as having permissions equivalent to the workgroup manager, however only a single member may be in the role for reporting purposes.
Nominating workgroup managers creates an organisation hierarchy, and allows responsibilities usually reserved for the
practice manager to be passed to other members on a per-workgroup basis.
