The ContactsLaw Viewer is a standalone application included with ContactsLaw which can be used to view contacts, files and documents that have been exported for offline use. Unlike ContactsLaw, the viewer application does not require a connection to the database or document library, and can be used in situations where no network connections are available.

Supported formats

The viewer recognises the following export formats:

• XML contact format (.cl-conx)
• XML file format (.cl-filx)
• Offline matter format (.cl-file) - Includes all documents associated with the file.

Available features

As there is no connection to the ContactsLaw database, any content viewed in this standalone application must be embedded within the containing file. As such, only limited information will be presented regarding related contacts, products, members, roles, fields, dates, etc.

All information is presented in a read-only manner. There is no provision for offline editing.

The viewer application does not include document production, telephone integration or time recording functionality.
